A nice pair of trainers is sometimes all it takes for me to be instantly attracted to someone. Is that bad?

After having the most stressful week of feeling absolutely awful, a holiday couldn’t come any sooner. Despite a gruelling 12 hour flight, I can’t wait to dig my feet into that incredibly white sand. So before you think I’m being lazy or have fallen off the side of the earth, I hope you all have a good Easter and I’ll catch you when I’m back. Mwah

>CK ONE

>

I know I’m getting a little obsessive with the videos but I am in love with this campaign. It looks as if Klein is bringing back the raw, understated attitude of the 90s, and what better way to capture CK One’s birth era than to choose Steven Meisel as the photographer. It all just fits. Thanks to Jessica Cusack, my fellow cowriter at Shifting Clothes, I have spent the last half an hour watching every video on Calvin Klein’s Youtube channel. To see Jessica’s take on the campaign, as well as a link to the Youtube channel, visit the SC blog. I should probably start some work now.

(ASOS sheer knitted top, vintage Levi’s and belt, Topshop suede satchel, Vivienne Westwood boots)

The recent burst of warm weather, a trip home to the Welsh countryside for Mothers Day, and the Gisele Bundchen editorial shoot in the April issue of Vogue Paris all inspired me to brave the cool breeze and photograph my new ASOS purchase. I’ve had my hair cut (again) but it’s now at that awkward length I’m not quite sure about, so yes, I’m planning to hack at it again next weekend. At this rate I’ll end up with short back and sides…

PS. Happy Mother’s Day to no doubt the best mum ever. I am forever grateful for what you’ve done for me and I am sorry for what I’ve put you through over the years. Big kiss.
